EmpireS, print, no frame
This is a print of "EmpireS" by Todd Baker. Born from a playful bet in New York City. While visiting Lower Manhattan with his wife Barby and their friend Tiffany, Baker claimed he could see the top of the Empire State Building from miles away — a point Tiffany strongly disputed. To keep the peace Baker embedded a painted dollar bill into the first building on the left, while weaving the phrase “Tiff may have been right” into the illuminated windows of the four central towers. This painting with the embedded dollar bill was given to Tiffany but Baker still holds that he did see the Empire State Building that night.
Set against a sky alive with Fourth of July fireworks, the piece captures both the grandeur of Manhattan and the humor of friendship. Inspired by an evening at the Conrad Hotel’s balcony bar — where a small crowd enjoyed a private double fireworks show over New Jersey — EmpireS blends personal memory, laughter, and the dazzling energy of New York City into one unforgettable canvas. This canvas print has a vivid, fade-resistant print that you're bound to fall in love with.
